Will Owen will return to United Autosports for a fourth season next year, again forming part of its European Le Mans Series LMP2 lineup.

The American driver will join Alex Brundle in one of the team’s Oreca 07 Gibsons with a third yet-to-be-announced driver.

The news comes after Phil Hanson and Filipe Albuquerque were confirmed in the Anglo-American team’s other Oreca last week.

“I am happy to announce that I will rejoin United Autosports for a fourth consecutive year in LMP2,” said Owen.

“This is the longest I have ever been with a racing team and it’s for a good reason. I feel at home with United and I’m excited to continue this relationship that has produced great results and a lot of fun over the past three years.

“Going into 2020 being familiar with the Oreca and how the United engineers have developed it so far is a promising feeling to have.

“As usual, we will keep our expectations open because ELMS is super competitive in the LMP2 class, but with the No. 32 car I believe we have the potential for some great results. Bring it on!”

United has confirmed that Owen and Brundle will also be present in its entry at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, subject to approval by the ACO selection committee.
