Prema has signed Louis Deletraz and Ferdinand Habsburg to join the previously announced Juan Manuel Correa for the team’s European Le Mans Series LMP2 program.
Deletraz, the reigning ELMS champion, will contest a double program with the Italian squad, having already kicked off the year with Prema in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The 24-year-old Swiss driver, who is also competing full-time in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Tower Motorsport, currently sits fourth in the WEC drivers’ championship.
“My 2022 program will be quite busy with IMSA, WEC and ELMS,” he said. “So doing two of them with the same team allows for better preparation and, in general, to understand where we are better in every aspect, especially ahead of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
“I am very happy to have Ferdinand and JM as teammates.
“It is a very young and strong lineup, in a new team. I look forward to what we can achieve as we have a common goal of doing well and winning as much as we can. I really thank the team for this opportunity.”
Habsburg, who is competing in the WEC for Realteam by WRT, won last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans and the WEC title in the LMP2 ranks with WRT.
“I have always had a good relationship with this team, especially in my Formula 3 days, and I am super happy to be racing with them now,” he said of Prema. “I really believe that we are strong, and can do a mega job in this ELMS campaign.”
Correa, whose ELMS program was announced in last month, will make his endurance racing debut.
The 22-year-old Ecuadorian-American joined Prema for his first steps in single-seater racing in 2016 before going on to race in the GP3 Series and FIA Formula 2 Championship.
