René Rast was the fastest driver at Paul Ricard in the night session of the European Le Mans Series Official Test Days.
In the No. 24 Sebastien Loeb Racing Oreca 03 Nissan Rast clocked a fastest lap of 1:49.781. With that time he finished just one hundredth of a second ahead of the No. 36 Signatech Alpine Nissan of Nelson Panciatici, the Alpina A450 already repaired after a shunt in the first session.
Tom Kimber-Smith and Marc Gené were third and fourth fastest in the night, the Zytek drivers finishing the session three tenths of a second behind Rast.
Andrea Bertolini was the fastest LM GTE driver in the third and final session of the day, with a fastest time of 1:55.828. In his No. 72 SMP Racing Ferrari 458 Italia Bertolini was almost three tenths faster than fellow Italian Giacomo Piccini in the No. 80 Kessel Racing Ferrari.
Having had a Porsche and a Ferrari on top in GTC the night session finished with the No. 98 ART Grand Prix McLaren MP4-12C GT3 of Alexandre Prémat setting the fastest lap time. Prémat’s lap time of 1:58.938 was four tenths quicker than that of Franck Perera in the No.93 Pro GT by Almeras Porsche 997 GT3 R.
