As expected, Jon Lancaster has been confirmed as Race Performance’s third driver for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The 25-year-old Briton will join Franck Mailleux and Michel Frey in the team’s Oreca 03 Nissan for the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic.
Lancaster, who has a competed in a variety of open-wheel championships, including Formula 3 EuroSeries, World Series by Renault 3.5, Formula 2, Auto GP and GP2, turned his first laps in the LMP2 contender at the official European Le Mans Series test at Paul Ricard last month.
The Swiss squad is fresh off a runner-up finish in last weekend’s ELMS season-opening Four Hours of Silverstone.
