SMP Racing has reshuffled its driver lineup for next month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, with sports car ace Mika Salo landing a seat in one of the team’s LMP2 cars.

Salo, who has been part of the Russian squad’s GT program, will join Sergey Zlobin and Anton Ladygin in the No. 27 Oreca 03-Nissan, while Nic Minassian and Maurizio Mediani move to the No. 37 entry with Kirill Ladygin.

The change came due to Viktor Shaitar, who contested the opening two rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship in LMP2, moving to the team’s GTE-Am effort for Le Mans with Andrea Bertolini and Aleksey Basov.

Shaitar along with Bertolini and Zlobin scored GTE class honors in last weekend’s European Le Mans Series round at Imola.
