33 Entries on Provisional Entry List for 6H Silverstone

A total of 33 cars are are on the provisional entry list for next month’s FIA World Endurance Championship season opener at Silverstone.

The Six Hours of Silverstone will feature all 32 full-season entries, as well as the additional Oreca 05 Nissan from Manor WEC, which will compete in eight of the nine rounds this season.

Drivers for all nine of the LMP1 entries have been finalized, following last weekend’s announcements from ByKolles and Rebellion Racing that confirmed the remainder of its lineups in the Privateer subclass.

Audi, Porsche and Toyota all return with two-car factory efforts, with Audi and Toyota debuting all-new cars for the season.

LMP2, which now sees an 11-car entry, still has a few to-be-determined drivers, most notably the sixth and final driver in the two-car Manor operation.

Manor will be joined on the grid by Tequila Patron ESM (Ligier JS P2), RGR Sport by Morand (Ligier), G-Drive Racing (Oreca), SMP Racing (BR Engineering BR01), Baxi DC Racing Alpine, Signatech Alpine and Strakka Racing (Gibson 015S), all with Nissan engines.

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing has yet to nominate its driver pairings for the two Ford GTs, although Marino Franchitti has been designed to the No. 66 car and Olivier Pla in the No. 67. Stefan Muecke and Andy Priaulx will complete the lineup.

AF Corse, with two new Ferrari 488 GTE cars, the two-car Aston Martin Racing effort and a single Porsche 911 RSR from Dempsey-Proton Racing complete the seven-car GTE-Pro class.

Porsche factory driver Wolf Henzler, meanwhile, is set to join the KCMG effort in GTE-Am, with the additional Bronze/Silver-rated driver alongside Christian Ried still yet to be announced.

Entries from Abu Dhabi Proton Racing (Porsche), Gulf Racing (Porsche), AF Corse (Ferrari), Larbre Competition (Corvette) and Aston Martin Racing make up the remainder of the class.

The Six Hours of Silverstone is set for April 15-17, with the official pre-season Prologue test scheduled for later this month at Paul Ricard.
