The Six Hours of Fuji is underway after initially starting behind the safety car.

The No. 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid of Earl Bamber is out front with seven laps complete, four of which had been run behind the safety car.

A Slow Zone on the front straight was enacted on restart due to visibility concerns, but was withdrawn after the first green flag lap.

It has since seen Bamber extend his lead over the No. 8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Sebastien Buemi, who has moved into second, with Andre Lotterer dropping to fourth.

Bruno Senna (LMP2), Richard Lietz (GTE-Pro) and Keita Sawa (GTE-Am) lead their respective categories.

Steady rain is expected to continue to fall throughout the race, and is currently reported at Level 2 rain levels on a 1-5 scale.
