Rui Andrade and Tom Van Rompuy have been confirmed at TF Sport for the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season, joining Charlie Eastwood at the wheel of the No. 81 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

Andrade, who won the final LMP2 title in the globe-trotting series this year with Team WRT, will make his GT3 debut with the Tom Ferrier-led operation.

The Angolan driver, who was initially moved to Gold rating by the FIA, has regained his Silver status for the 2024 season.

“I am very happy to be back racing in the World Endurance Championship again and to take on this new challenge,” Andrade said.

“It will be my first time racing in GTs, but I couldn’t ask for better people around me to guide me on this journey.

“TF Sport is an experienced team with many titles and wins in multiple classes, so I can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”

Van Rompuy, meanwhile, also comes from a predominately prototype racing background, with the Bronze-rated driver having previously contested the Ligier European Series and European Le Mans Series, both in LMP3 and LMP2 Pro-Am.

“I can’t wait to drive my first kilometers in the brand new Corvette,” he said. “This car looks really amazing.

“The aim is to fight for podiums and I am convinced that we have a really strong package to fight for good results. I am looking forward to work with this highly professional team.”

The duo are joined by newly minted Corvette factory driver Eastwood, who was confirmed in the lineup with the release of the 2024 WEC entry list last month.

“I can’t wait to start my new journey with the Corvette and I am happy to have the fantastic TF Sport team next to me, who have been so successful in the championship,” Eastwood said.

“By sharing the car with Tom and Rui I think we have all the tools for a really strong season.”

The complete lineup for the team’s No. 82 Corvette, which will be spearheaded by ex-Mercedes-AMG factory driver Dani Juncadella, is expected to be announced next week.
