Sarah Bovy will replace Michelle Gatting at the wheel of the No. 85 Iron Dames Porsche 911 GT3 R in this weekend’s 24 Hours of Le Mans following an injury sustained by Gatting during Sunday’s Le Mans test day.
According to a statement from team operator Manthey, Gatting sustained foot fractures during a pit stop driver change in yesterday’s session.
“This is deeply disappointing for Michelle and the entire team, but she is in good spirits and now focusing on her recovery, with the full support of everyone at Iron Dames and Manthey,” the statement read.
Bovy, who has taken on a sporting/management role within the all-female squad following her FIA driver rating change from Bronze to Silver for 2025, will make her first start of the FIA World Endurance Championship season.
She’ll share the LMGT3 entry with Rahel Frey and Celia Martin.
“With four previous Le Mans starts and a strong track record, [Sarah’s] experience and determination will be key as the team takes on this year’s challenge,” the statement continued.
