Jamie Chadwick and Alice Powell will take part in next weekend’s FIA World Endurance Championship rookie test after finishing first and second in the W Series standings.

The British drivers have both been confirmed at the wheel of Richard Mille Racing’s LMP2-class Oreca 07 Gibson for the test on Nov. 7, one day after the WEC season finale.

Chadwick beat Powell to the W Series open-wheel title by winning both of last weekend’s races at Circuit of The Americas.

Despite being new to LMP2 and the WEC, Chadwick has prior sports car racing experience as the 2015 British GT4 champion while Powell contested the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship round at Virginia in an Acura NSX GT3 Evo.

One of their W Series competitors this year, Beitske Visser, drives fill-time for the Signatech-run Richard Mille outfit in the WEC’s LMP2 class.

Visser and Sophia Floersch, who claimed her maiden LMP2 podium at Portimao on Sunday, will run this weekend’s 6 Hours of Bahrain race without their usual co-driver Tatiana Calderon who is prioritized at Suzuka for the Super Formula season finale.

The Bahrain rookie test will consist of two hours of action in the morning, followed by a further three hours in the afternoon.

Other confirmed participants include seven-time World Rally champion Sebastien Ogier and LMP2 rising star Charles Milesi in a Toyota GR010 Hybrid, plus European Le Mans Series LMP3 champion Laurents Hoerr in a to-be-determined GTE car.
