I would imagine the pressure on Toyota is immense. Worse than any other previous years. This year it is theirs to lose

There’s a double agent in their mix this year. Hughe DeChaunac secretly wants Rebellion to win. More Oreca P1 sales.

The WEC/FIA have decided that if at any point in the race the Toyota’s are not leading they have the right to impose a penalty on whoever is leading. This moves the Toyota back to the front. In the event that both Toyotas retire the governing body will change the way the timing works and for every lap a non Toyota comlpletes they will take two off its lap chart. They have also said that in the unlikely event neither Toyota can start the race the Toyotas will get 401 laps in the books. Good luck non-hybrid opposition 😎👍🏼

IMSA also controls who wins races. Just ask Land Audi, even though IMSA said they did not break any rules, they still got a time penalty and BOP’ed for the rest of the race.

And didn’t IMSA penalize (Racers Group Porsche?) at Daytona for avoidable contact when the on-board clearly showed that it was a GTLM Porsche that cause the collision but IMSA enforced the penalty on them anyways.

Yeah, IMSA doesn’t control who wins races.

Like IMSA has never played favorites for specific events?

Don’t be too surprised to see the Cadillac DPi’s dominate this weekend for their home GP.

Looking forward to going over on June 12th for the race, I see alonso is registered as a driver in both entries, I suspect that one toyota will blast off into the distance and the other will be in cruise control to try and make sure at least one finishes and wins, if so alonso to indy again.
