Dallara’s new LMP2 contender has broken cover, in a spy photo published by Italian motorsports publication, Autosprint, in this week’s issue.

The car was spotted testing recently at Autodromo Riccardo Paletti near Varano in northern Italy. It’s believed to be the first test of the Gibson-engined Dallara, after multiple runs of a Dallara-based Cadillac DPi by Wayne Taylor Racing in the U.S.

Dallara has yet to confirm the name of its car, or any further technical details.

It is the second 2017-spec LMP2 car to be revealed, following the official presentation of the Ligier JS P217 last month at Spa-Francorchamps.

Photos of the Riley Mk. 30 or Oreca 07 have yet to surface.

With thanks to Autosprint
