Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus unveiled a new blue color scheme to be featured on its Le Mans Hypercar at this weekend’s 6 Hours of Monza.

The new livery for the No. 708 Glickenhaus 007 Pipo sees the team’s previous red and white design replaced by a light blue, which the team calls ‘Sky Blue’.

The blue is complimented by red, white and blue stripes running across the front and top of the car.

The team hinted at a potential livery change with a social media post last week.

The American squad stated that the shade of blue is inspired by its logo, while the decision to alter the design was made to differentiate itself from both class rival Toyota as well as future opponents Porsche.

Both Toyota’s GR010 Hybrid and the newly unveiled Porsche 963 feature a white and red livery.

“At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, we saw the new Porsche LMDh in its race livery,” the team wrote.

“As both Porsche and Toyota are now red, white and black, we’ve decided to try something different. As bright as the sky or as bright as the future.”

Glickenhaus heads to Monza after securing an overall podium finish at Le Mans with its No. 709 car, which will not be competing in Italy as the team reverts back to a one-car entry like it has done for all previous WEC events.

Olivier Pla, Romain Dumas and Pipo Derani will contest the race as part of a six-car class as Peugeot is set to make its long-awaited series debut with its pair of 9X8 Hypercars.
