After a day dominated by Porsche, Audi has fought back in Saturday’s Free Practice 3, with Oliver Jarvis setting the quickest time of the weekend heading into qualifying for tomorrow’s FIA WEC Six Hours of Shanghai.

The Englishman reeled off a 1:44.505 early in the 60-minute session to put the No. 8 Audi R18 atop the time sheets, some three-tenths quicker than the No. 6 Toyota TS050 Hybrid of Mike Conway, who ended up second.

Marc Lieb made it three different LMP1 manufacturers in the top-three, with the No. 2 Porsche setting a 1:44.913 lap time.

Signatech Alpine led the way in LMP2, thanks to Nico Lapierre’s 1:54.355 lap in the No. 36 Alpine A460 Nissan, with Ford Chip Ganassi Racing and Aston Martin Racing quickest in GTE-Pro and GTE-Am, respectively.

Qualifying is set for 1:30 p.m. local time.
