Greaves Motorsport confirmed Monday the addition of American Gunnar Jeannette and Swedish driver Bjorn Wirdheim for this weekend’s FIA WEC Six Hours of Sao Paulo. The pair will join team regular Christian Zugel at the wheel of the No. 41 Zytek Z11SN Nissan.

Jeannette, who is competing full-time in the European Le Mans Series with Ram Racing, will make his second race start after breaking his leg in a skydiving accident in June.

Wirdheim, meanwhile, is no stranger to sports car racing, with the ex-F1 driver having most recently competed in Super GT, including this year’s campaign at the wheel of a GT300-spec Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.

“We are really pleased to have such a fast and experienced driver join us for Sao Paulo,” Greaves Motorsport team manager Jacob Greaves said. “Bjorn’s record in all forms of motorsport is impressive and he will add a great deal to our effort at Interlagos.”

The British squad recently completed a successful Dunlop tire test at Snetteron, which saw ex-Dyson Racing pilot Steven Kane take the wheel. It’s believed the Irishman could be a part of Greaves’ lineup later this season.
