The latest special livery to adorn the No. 69 BMW M4 GT3 EVO in the FIA World Endurance Championship has been revealed with a color scheme for the 24 Hours of Le Mans that celebrates the manufacturer’s history in the event.

The WRT-run LMGT3 entry is sporting a different retro-inspired livery at each of the WEC rounds as part of an initiative instigated by driver Anthony McIntosh.

This latest livery takes inspiration from the 1990s as it celebrates the BMW-engined McLaren F1 GTR, which triumphed at Le Mans in 1995, and how this then provided the foundation for BMW to return to the top flight of sports car racing in its own right and take victory four years later with the V12 LMR.

“It’s a reminder of bold engineering, analog racing, and the brave souls that piloted these beasts,” said McIntosh of the design.

Previous liveries on the car that McIntosh shares with Dan Harper and Parker Thompson have included a 1990s DTM Tic Tac design and a ‘Genuine BMW Parts’ color scheme.

The trio currently sit third in the LMGT3 table heading into the Le Mans event having taken victory in the opening round at Imola.
