While Audi set the pace in the wet, it was Porsche that led the way in dry conditions at Spa-Francorchamps in the second and final practice session prior to qualifying this evening.

Marc Lieb took the No. 14 Porsche 919 Hybrid to the top of the time charts, reeling off a 1:59.887 lap time shortly after the second and final red flag period period of the session.

Lieb edged out the No. 8 Toyota TS040 Hybrid of Sebastien Buemi by a considerable 0.751 seconds, with the No. 2 Audi R18 e-tron quattro making it three different manufacturers in the top-three overall.

The two-hour session was run in mostly dry conditions but featured two incidents at Raidillon, the first being a heavy crash for Viktor Shaitar in the No. 37 SMP Racing Oreca 03 Nissan.

Shaitar climbed from the Russian-backed LMP2 car uninjured, which had set the quickest lap of the class at the time.

The second red flag was for the stranded Team Jota Zytek Z11SN Nissan of Simon Dolan, who had spun at the top of the high-speed corner.

While the No. 12 Rebellion Racing Rebellion R-One Toyota set a best time of 2:10.116, the sister entry did not turn a lap due to electrical issues with the new LMP1-L car.

LMP2 was led by the No. 26 G-Drive Racing Morgan Nissan, thanks to a 2:08.673 lap time by Olivier Pla.

The No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari F458 Italia of Gianmaria Bruni led GTE-Pro, this time ahead of the pace-setting GTE-Am entry, which went to the No. 88 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR of Klaus Bachler.

Qualifying is on tap for 7:20 p.m. local.
