Andre Lotterer led an Audi 1-2 in Free Practice 1 for Sunday’s Six Hours of Mexico presented by AT&T.

Lotterer reeled off a quick lap of 1:26.705 early in the 90-minute session to edge out the sister No. 8 Audi R18 of Loic Duval, Lucas Di Grassi and Oliver Jarvis by 0.194 seconds.

The pair of Porsche 919 Hybrids were third and fourth on the time sheets, ahead of the solo Toyota TS050 Hybrid, which now features only a two-driver lineup of Sebastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima after Anthony Davidson elected to sit out due to a rib injury.

The No. 6 Toyota, which crashed heavily in the Collective Test, will not return to action until Free Practice 3 on Friday.

The No. 44 Manor Oreca 05 Nissan of Richard Bradley topped LMP2, with the Englishman laying down a 1:36.755 lap time prior to running into gearbox problems.

Bradley edged out the No. 31 Tequila Patron ESM Ligier JS P2 Nissan of Ryan Dalziel, who set the second quickest time, ahead of the No. 26 G-Drive Racing Oreca Nissan in third.

Aston Martin Racing (GTE-Pro) and Gulf Racing (GTE-Am), meanwhile, topped the production-based ranks.

Free Practice 2 is on tap for 6 p.m. CT.
