FIA Formula 2 competitors Marcus Armstrong and Olli Caldwell are among the additions on an updated entry list for today’s FIA World Endurance Championship rookie test in Bahrain.

Armstrong and Caldwell will get to sample the Richard Mille Racing Team Oreca 07 Gibson during the two-part, five-hour test which takes place one day after the WEC season finale.

New Zealander Armstrong sits 12th in this year’s Formula 2 standings driving for Hitech, while Briton Caldwell is 21st after a campaign with Campos Racing.

Bent Viscaal, who raced in the European Le Mans Series this year with Algarve Pro Racing, is set to drive the Prema Oreca alongside the previously confirmed Juan Manuel Correa.

Additionally, Finn Gehrsitz is set to drive two different types of car across the day.

Gehrsitz will get at least 30 laps in D’Station Racing’s Aston Martin Vantage GTE as one of four WEC-selected official rookie drivers, but he is also now listed in the ARC Bratislava Oreca.

Porsche is not running a GTE-Pro car in the rookie test after the German manufacturer lost out on the WEC title to Ferrari in Saturday’s 8 Hours of Bahrain.

Rookie test driver Lorenzo Colombo will therefore turn laps in a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

LMP2 teams Team WRT and JOTA are running full-season drivers Rene Rast and Oliver Rasmussen respectively, while the WEC-nominated Doriane Pin will share the JOTA Oreca with Rasmussen.

Lilou Wadoux is getting behind the wheel of a Toyota GR010 Hybrid the morning after the Japanese manufacturer beat Alpine to the Hypercar world title.

Wadoux is also now shown in the No. 21 AF Corse Ferrari which has raced in the GTE-Am class this year. She will share the wheel with Francois Heriau, who usually competes in LMP2.

The rookie test consists of two sessions, with the first two-hour stint starting at 10 a.m. (2 a.m. ET) and the three-hour afternoon run getting underway at 1 p.m. (5 a.m. ET).
