Toyota has picked up the pace at Fuji Speedway, with Kazuki Nakajima topping the timing screens in the third and final Free Practice session prior to qualifying for Sunday’s FIA WEC Six Hours of Fuji.

Home hero Nakajima reeled off a 1:24.078 with the No. 5 Toyota TS050 Hybrid early in the 60-minute session, but was still 0.004 seconds slower than the time set by Mark Webber in yesterday afternoon’s FP2.

The No. 8 Audi R18 Hybrid and No. 2 Porsche 919 Hybrid completed the top three, but were more than four-tenths off the No. 5 Toyota.

For the second time this weekend G-Drive Racing was quickest in LMP2, with the Jota Sport-run No. 26 Oreca 05 Nissan setting a 1:41.526 lap time, followed by the No. 30 ESM Jagonya Ayam-sponsored Ligier JS P2 Nissan in second.

Ford Chip Ganassi Racing continued to set the pace in GTE-Pro, with the No. 67 Ford GT leading the pack ahead of the No. 95 Aston Martin Vantage V8, while the No. 95 Aston Martin went fastest in GTE-Am.

Besides a high number of spins, there were no notable incidents.

Qualifying gets underway at 2 p.m. local time.

RESULTS: Free Practice 3
