Norman Nato will make his LMP1 debut later this month, joining Rebellion Racing for the full FIA World Endurance Championship season.

The Frenchman joins Rebellion returnees Bruno Senna and Gustavo Menezes in what’s expected to be the sole R13 Gibson entered for the 2019-20 campaign.

Nato and Felipe Nasr both tested the car in the Prologue last month, along with Senna, Menezes and Nathanael Berthon.

Nato competed in the LMP2 ranks in the last two runnings of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, for SMP Racing and RLR MSport, while also making an appearance for TDS Racing at the 6 Hours of Spa in May.

He also drove for G-Drive in the European Le Mans Series earlier in the year while making a couple of Blancpain GT Series starts for Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, including in the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

“We are looking forward to seeing Norman Nato at the wheel of our car in LMP1 category,” commented Rebellion Racing owner Alexandre Pesci.

“He surprised us during the Barcelona Prologue by quickly understanding the Rebellion R-13 car.

“We are very happy to have Gustavo for a new season and to let him express all his talent on the track. The team is extremely proud to always count on one of the best endurance drivers Bruno Senna.”
