Dempsey-Proton Racing has made wholesale changes to its No. 88 GTE-Am driving squad for the next FIA World Endurance Championship race at Spa-Francorchamps.

The German team’s No. 88 Porsche 911 RSR will be driven by Ricardo Sanchez, Lucas Legeret and Vutthikorn Inthraphuvasak in the Total 6 Hours of Spa on August 15.

Porsche Young Professional Thomas Preining was named in the No. 88 on the provisional entry list for Spa.

The Austrian has been the lineup’s only mainstay throughout the 2019-20 campaign, while the other two seats have rotated between different drivers at each round.

For Spa the lineup has been completely altered, while Sanchez is the only member with previous WEC experience having piloted the Porsche at the Silverstone season-opener.

The GT Academy graduate will share the wheel at Spa with LMP3 standout Legeret, and 2019 GT World Challenge Asia powered by AWS runner-up Inthraphuvasak.

Swiss driver Legeret scored two poles in last year’s European Le Mans Series driving for the M Racing squad, and is now set to make his first-ever GTE appearance.

Inthraphuvasak clinched last year’s GTWC Asia Pro-Am title and finished second in the overall points driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R run by Absolute Racing under the Panther/AAS Motorsport banner.

The Bronze-rated Thai driver is also set to make his GTE debut, although he has several years of experience in Porsche GT3 and Cup machinery.

Dempsey-Proton Racing’s No. 77 Porsche is set to be driven at Spa by Matt Campbell, Riccardo Pera and team boss Christian Ried.
