Porsche has continued to lead the way at Interlagos, as the pair of 919 Hybrids topped the time charts in Saturday’s Free Practice 3.

Neel Jani ended up quickest of the 60-minute session, reeling off a best lap of 1:17.572 in the No. 14 Porsche. Jani’s time was 0.376 seconds quicer than teammate Mark Webber in second.

Toyota showed improved form, with the two TS040 Hybrids ending up third and fourth, relegating the Audi R18 e-tron quattros to fifth and sixth overall and in LMP1-H.

The No. 12 Rebellion R-One Toyota paced LMP1-L, while Roman Rusinov put the No. 26 G-Drive Racing Ligier JS P2 Nissan atop the time sheets in LMP2.

It was another Aston Martin sweep in GTE, with Stefan Muecke and Nicki Thiim leading the way in GTE-Pro and GTE-Am, respectively.

All 26 cars set times, although the No. 47 KCMG Oreca 03R Nissan only completed three laps late in the session after an undisclosed issue that kept the LMP2 contender in the garage for the majority of the session.

There was also trouble for another LMP2 car, as the No. 37 SMP Racing Oreca Nissan stopped on track in Turn 3 with an issue.

Qualifying gets underway at 2:45 p.m. local (11:45 a.m. ET) with live coverage on the FIA WEC App.
