Porsche continued to lead the way at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, with the No. 1 Porsche 919 Hybrid topping the time charts in Free Practice 3 for Saturday’s FIA WEC Six Hours of Mexico.
Brendon Hartley led the way in the 60-minute session, reeling off a 1:25.387 lap tie and ending up 0.118 seconds quicker than the No. 7 Audi R18 of Andre Lotterer, who was second.
The No. 8 Audi posted the third quickest time, while the No. 6 Toyota TS050 Hybrid returned to action after a tub change on Thursday and was fifth quickest overall and in LMP1.
G-Drive Racing was quickest in LMP2 with its Oreca 05 Nissan, while Aston Martin Racing ended the session 1-2 in GTE-Pro, with the No. 88 Abu Dhabi Proton Porsche 911 RSR quickest in GTE-Am.
No major incidents were reported. Qualifying gets underway at 2:10 p.m. local time.
