In a new regular set of features, Sportscar365 asks drivers from around the world what they’re doing during the coronavirus pandemic and how they’re coping with the racing downtime.

This time it’s the turn of Toyota Gazoo Racing LMP1 driver Mike Conway (Twitter/Instagram) who is currently co-leading the FIA World Endurance Championship with teammates Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez.

Where are you sitting out the COVID-19 pandemic?

I am currently in Los Angeles with my girlfriend.

What activities are keeping you occupied while you’re staying at home?

I have been managing to get out on the bicycle most days, then I’m doing some workouts indoors. We’re also playing games, doing a bit of painting and tie-dying some things. The last one sounds a bit random but it’s keeping us entertained!

What’s your current favorite Netflix/TV show?

We haven’t started anything, as we didn’t want to resort to that just yet.

What music are you currently into?

I’m listening to various stuff but my 2020 downloads have been some Tame Impala, Jacob Banks, Mumford & Sons. I’ve also randomly downloaded some old Wang Chun and Men Without Hats.

Do you do sim racing?

I don’t do any sim racing but I’d say Jose would win a race between our crews as he used to do a lot of it.

Do you have any pets?

I don’t have any pets but my girlfriend has a tuxedo cat called Miko; he’s pretty cool and very laid back.

What’s your favorite section of any race track in the world, and why?

For me, it’s the mountain section in Macau. It’s a really challenging and exciting bit of track.

What’s the funniest thing you have heard or said over a team radio?

Something from Kimi Raikkonen. He’s said plenty over the years!

What’s the one thing you are most looking forward to the first day you return to a race track?

The thing I’m looking forward to most is just to be in a race car again.
