Marco Seefried has been named the third driver in Dempsey-Proton Racing’s lineup for this year’s FIA World Endurance Championship effort.
The 39-year-old German, a Silver-rated driver by the FIA, joins Bronze-rated Patrick Dempsey and American Porsche factory driver Patrick Long in the team’s GTE-Am class Porsche 911 RSR.
Seefried, who won the Twelve Hours of Sebring with Magnus Racing, will make his team debut beginning with next month’s Prologue pre-season test at Paul Ricard.
The German squad, meanwhile, has also confirmed that Klaus Bachler, Christian Ried and Khaled Al Qubaisi will return to the Abu Dhabi Racing-backed Porsche entry for the season as well.
Proton has a third Porsche entered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, although it currently sits on the reserve list with nominated driver Wolf Henzler.
