Jeff Segal, Rodrigo Baptista and Wei Lu have been confirmed as drivers for JMW Motorsport’s Ferrari 488 GTE for next month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It marks a largely new driver lineup for the British squad, which claimed GTE-Am class honors in the race in 2017.
While Segal returns to JMW after contesting last year’s race in the team’s WeatherTech-sponsored Ferrari, both Baptista and Lu are set for their race debuts.
Additionally, Segal and Lu are taking part in the European Le Mans Series with the team.
For 22-year-old Baptista, who competes for K-PAX Racing in Blancpain GT World Challenge America, it will mark the Brazilian’s first start in a Ferrari.
“I really can’t wait to get to Le Mans this year,” Segal said. “It looks like we have all of the necessary
ingredients for success.
“JMW has a great record at Le Mans, and I think we’re all eager to add another chapter to that history.
“Having tasted victory at Le Mans before, I’m also looking forward to helping Wei and Rodrigo in what will be both of their first attempts at this race.”
Team owner Jim McWhirter added: “Both Jeff and Wei have Ferrari experience from various championships, and I’m sure Rodrigo will adapt to the 488 very quickly.
“All three drivers have proven themselves to be competitive thus far.
“We’re very excited about our special Le Mans livery and look forward to revealing it very soon. We’re sure the fans will love it.”
