SMP Oreca-Nissans Complete Portimao Test

SMP Racing completed a successful test at Portimao on Sunday and Monday, in preparation for the upcoming FIA World Endurance Championship season.

The Russian squad has taken its arrival on to the world’s stage very seriously, fielding two Michelin-shod Oreca 03 Nissans, with support from AF Corse.

Defecting from Pecom Racing, Nicolas Minassian was hard at work in Portgual, alongside Sergey Zlobin and Maurizio Mediani.

The second car saw brothers Kirill and Anton Ladygin and Viktor Shaitar take the wheel in the two-day test.

The team will now wait until Thursday to see if its Ferrari 458 Italia also entered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans has been accepted by the Selection Committee.
