The first photos of the new Strakka-Dome S103 have been released ahead of the car’s public debut in next week’s FIA World Endurance Championship “The Prologue” pre-season test at Paul Ricard.
Final preparations of the Japanese-built LMP2 car are being made at Strakka’s Silverstone-based workshop. The Nissan-powered car will be driven in the eight-round championship by Danny Watts, Nick Leventis and Jonny Kane.
Under a new partnership with the manufacturer, Strakka intends to sell customer versions of car for competition in all LMP2-eligible championships worldwide.
The Strakka-Dome will be the first new-for-2014 cost-capped prototype to debut in the FIA WEC, with Onroak Automotive’s new Ligier JS P2 not scheduled to make its first race until the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June.
