Team Project 1 will be down to a single Porsche 911 RSR-19 entry in next month’s 8 Hours of Portimao, reducing the overall entry for the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship to 32 cars.
Confirmed in the release of the latest entry list for the June 11-13 event, the German squad’s No. 46 Porsche of Dennis Olsen, Anders Buchardt and Axcil Jefferies has been withdrawn.
No official reason has been given although the car did not take part in the Total 6 Hours of Spa after it sustained chassis damage in the Prologue pre-season test earlier that week.
Project 1 failed to make the start of the season-opener altogether after an accident for Egidio Perfetti in qualifying in the No. 56 Porsche.
Other updates to the entry list for Portimao include confirmation of Mathias Beche in the No. 70 Realteam Oreca 07 Gibson alongside Esteban Garia and Norman Nato.
Beche will be subbing for Loic Duval, who like Katherine Legge and a number of others, will be on IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship duty in Detroit that weekend.
Legge is being replaced by Michelle Gatting in the all-female No. 85 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 GTE Evo in GTE-Am, while U.S.-based Australian Scott Andrews has taken the place of David Fumanelli in the No. 57 Kessel Racing Ferrari.
The final driver confirmation comes in LMP2 with Tom Jackson now listed in the No. 44 ARC Bratislava Ligier JS P217 Gibson alongside Oliver Webb and Mirko Konopka.
