Team Project 1 Unveils Porsche Livery

Team Project 1 has revealed the race livery of its Porsche 911 RSR ahead of the German outfit’s FIA World Endurance Championship debut.

Drivers Joerg Bergmeister, Patrick Lindsey and Egidio Perfetti were on hand to unveil the team’s car at a launch event in Leipzig on Wednesday.

The trio will contest the full ‘Super Season’, including the next two editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Project 1 is graduating to the GTE-Am class this season, having established itself as a title winner in the Porsche Supercup and Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.

The squad will continue to prepare 911 GT3 Cup machinery alongside its new WEC program, with Jacob Eidson, Michael de Quesada, Larry ten Voorde and ex-Formula 2 driver Gustav Malja confirmed for dual Supercup and national campaigns.

Bergmeister, Lindsey and Perfetti will give the new livery its first public run at the pre-season Prologue pre-season test next week at Paul Ricard.

“This season will be a special one for the whole team and our commitments in three parallel championships emphasize the historic program ahead of us.” said team founder Hans-Bernd Kamps.

“I’m very happy to be able to celebrate this milestone and our jubilee together with our partners and friends and of course with our team. An exciting year is coming up and I can hardly wait to start the WEC and the Porsche one-make trophies.”

Lindsey, who is set to make his WEC debut, recently told Sportscar365 that Project 1’s long-standing ties to Porsche as a customer outfit have helped with preparations for the new program.

The team’s step up to the GTE ranks coincides with its 25th anniversary this year.
