Bent Viscaal looks set to make his debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship, joining ARC Bratislava for the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.

Viscaal is listed with ARC Bratislava in the updated entry list released on Wednesday.

The Dutchman will team with compatriot Tijmen van der Helm and Miro Konopka aboard the No. 44 Oreca 07 Gibson.

He recently scored a podium finish upon debut in the European Le Mans Series, teaming with Sophia Floersch to finish second for Algarve Pro Racing.

Henrique Chaves meanwhile joins TF Sport’s No. 33 Aston Martin Vantage AMR to partner Ben Keating and Marco Sorensen in place of Florian Latorre.

Keating, the Bronze-rated driver aboard the car, told Sportscar365 that Chaves was chosen to replace Latorre due to familiarization with the car and team after he already competed with TF Sport in both the Asian and European Le Mans Series.

It’s unclear if Chaves will complete the remainder of the season with the team.

The 25-year-old won the International GT Open title with Teo Martin Motorsport and followed that up with the Pro-Am title in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup with Barwell Motorsport.

Elsewhere on the list, as previously confirmed, Pipo Derani rejoins Glickenhaus to replace Ryan Briscoe.

The Brazilian will be part of a four-car field to fight for the overall victory, up against Toyota and Alpine.

Furthermore in LMP2 Alex Lynn, Sebastien Bourdais and Alex Brundle will get their WEC seasons underway at the Ardennes circuit.

Lynn and Bourdais were unable to compete at Sebring due to clashing IMSA commitmens with Chip Ganassi Racing, while Brundle was ruled out from the season opener due to testing positive for COVID-19.
