WEC Champions Honored at FIA Gala

The LMP1 and GTE drivers and manufacturers champions were honored Friday evening during the FIA Gala in Paris.

Allan McNish, Tom Kristensen and Loic Duval joined Head of Audi Motorsport, Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich, on stage to accept their World Championship trophies with FIA President Jean Todt.

In the production-based ranks, Gianmaria Bruni and Ferrari claimed the FIA Endurance Cup for GT Drivers and GT Manufacturers, respectively, following a down-to-the-wire battle in last weekend’s season-ending Six Hours of Bahrain.

The title-winning Audi and Ferrari drivers will join the rest of the class champions and fellow FIA WEC competitors Saturday evening for a separate end-of-season awards ceremony, also in Paris.
