Yifei Ye has become the latest Ferrari FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar driver to secure a multi-year contract extension.

The Chinese racer has spent the past three seasons competing at the wheel of the satellite No. 83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P in the WEC, including winning last year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

He earned full factory driver status ahead of joining Phil Hanson and Robert Shwartzman at the wheel of the yellow Ferrari, having previously spent a year racing a privateer Porsche 963 for the JOTA squad.

Ferrari’s global head of endurance Antonello Coletta described Ye’s first contract extension as a “very important moment.”

“Yifei, the first Chinese driver to join the ranks of Ferrari official drivers in endurance racing, was also the first Chinese winner at Le Mans, demonstrating his full worth on that occasion too,” added Coletta.

“We are confident that, in future, he will reach further prestigious milestones to match those already to his name.”

Ye said: “I am proud to extend my partnership with Ferrari. I remember signing my first contract with the Prancing Horse and dreaming of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 499P.

“That dream very quickly became a reality with the 2025 victory, proof that, with dedication and professionalism, great goals can be reached together.

“I am hugely motivated to keep giving my best, together with my teammates, to achieve further success.”

Ye is the second Ferrari driver to have had a contract extension confirmed on Thursday, following Nicklas Nielsen, and Ye’s No. 83 teammate Hanson also had his deal extended earlier this month.
