CP Racing Takes 12H Kuwait Pole

All-American squad puts Mercedes-AMG GT3 Pole at Kuwait Motor Town…

CP Racing has secured pole position for the Hankook 12H Kuwait by beating Century Motorsport in Friday qualifying.

The No. 85 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, driven by Charles Putman, Charles Espenlaub, Shane Lewis and Joe Foster, posted an average time of 1:44.410 to claim pole for the second edition of the twelve-hour event at at Kuwait Motor Town.

The all-American squad beat Century’s No. 22 BMW M4 GT3, piloted by Lewis Plato, Carl Cavers and Jack Barlow, by 0.556 seconds.

The top three was rounded out by the No. 95 Manamauri Energy by Ebimotors Porsche 911 GT3 R of Fabrizio Broggi, Sabino de Castro, Sergiu Nicolae and Cosimo Papi.

Fourth overall, and claiming GTX class pole in the process, was the No. 701 Vortex 2.0 in the hands of Arnaud Gomez, Philippe Bonnel, Lionel Amrouche and Olivier Gomez.

Century topped qualifying in the two-car GT4 category, as Ravi Ramyead, Charlie Robertson, David Holloway and Nathan Freke steered the No. 429 BMW M4 GT4 to a combined average time of 1:53.497.

That left the British squad 1,4 seconds ahead of the other BMW in the class, the No. 438 AGMC Racing team by Simpson Motorsport machine in the hands of Fabian Duffieux, Andrey Solukovtsev and Vasily Vladykin.

The Hankook 12H Kuwait kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m. local time (2 a.m. ET), with live coverage on the 24H Series YouTube channel.
