The red flag was brought out in the Hankook 24 Hours of Dubai at 10:17 p.m. local time due to a torrential rain shower that came during the evening.

A heavy downpour brought out a Code 60 at 9:58 p.m. with seven hours of the race completed, but with many cars unable to reach the maximum speed of 60 km/h due to the conditions and standing water around the track.

The race is now under red flag conditions with all cars parked on the pit straight.

In what could prove a race-defining strategy call, Black Falcon brought Ben Barker in from the lead during the Code 60 period to switch over to Khaled Al Qubaisi.

Al Qubaisi made it back out on track before the red flag, maintaining the lead while the pursuing MS7 by WRT Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo was unable to catch up.

The Emirati driver now has a good amount of fuel in his car ready for the restart, although teams are only permitted to refuel 50 percent under Code 60 conditions.

Car Collection Motorsport’s No. 88 Audi is classified second, ahead of the MS7 by WRT Audi in third.

MP Motorsport leads GT3 Am, while Atlas BX Motorsports is out front in GT4 with its Mercedes-AMG GT4.
