Driving Force Events Ltd. has confirmed the date for this year’s Gulf 12 Hours, with the around-the-clock enduro at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi set to take place on Friday, Dec. 11.
The fifth running of the event will again feature a variety of GT machinery, including GT3 cars and various Cup classes. CN cars could run as a separate race alongside other entry-level prototypes, which may also include LMP3 cars. However, a final decision has yet to be made.
The U.K.-based organization announced earlier this week the formation of a new endurance race in Istanbul for August.
The date for the Gulf 12 Hours, which has been on the second week of December for the last four editions, clashes with the Sepang 12 Hours, which has been moved from its traditional summer date as part of a reorganization under the SRO umbrella.
Bentley has already confirmed its participation in the Gulf 12 Hours with an expected two-car factory effort.
