As revealed in a Sportscar365 exclusive, HTP Motorsport and Bentley confirmed Monday a new partnership that will see the German squad field five Bentley Continental GT3s across multiple race platforms in Europe.
HTP Team Bentley will contest the Blancpain Endurance Series, Blancpain Sprint Series, ADAC GT Masters, as well as an expected multi-car entry in the Nürburgring 24 with the V8-powered beast.
The team makes the switch from Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3s, where it achieved a total of six championships and 20 race wins throughout Europe.
“I’m delighted that they are the latest team to show confidence in our Continental GT3 through partnering with us,” said Bentley Director of Motorsport Brian Gush.
“Europe is where Bentley’s motorsport heritage is based, and this collaboration is the important next step in our plan to expand our GT3 program.”
HTP team principal Norbert Brückner added: “2014 was a great year for us, but next year we are looking for more wins and more championships.
“We’re confident that the Bentley Continental GT3 is the key to that ambition, and I and the rest of the team are excited to get started with our new race cars.”
Drivers for the multi-faceted program have yet to be announced, with Bentley’s full 2015 motorsport program to be unveiled in January.
