Porsche LMDh drivers Matt Campbell and Mathieu Jaminet will contest the Nürburgring 24 together in Car Collection Motorsport’s Lionspeed-badged Porsche 911 GT3 R.

The factory pairing has been announced as part of the No. 24 lineup alongside 2018 N24 winner Patrick Pilet and Lionspeed driver Patrick Kolb.

Campbell and Jaminet won last year’s GTD Pro title in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship before receiving promotions to race separate Porsche 963s in the GTP class this year.

Both drivers said in January that they hoped to fit some major GT races into their LMDh-heavy schedule such as the N24 and the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

They finished second in the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour sharing a Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R with Thomas Preining and are now set to tackle the Nordschleife in the German manufacturer’s new Type-992 model.

“I am super excited to be joining Lionspeed and Patrick Kolb for the N24,” said Campbell, who has done the N24 with Jaminet three times previously without reaching the finish.

“It is great to be once again sharing a car with my friends Mathieu and PP. The Nurburgring is always my favorite event of the year and still one I want to win!”

Lionspeed GP is switching from Audi to Porsche for this year’s N24 but has retained technical support from Car Collection which is now running a dual-manufacturer effort.

“We are very happy to continue the strong partnership with Lionspeed for the third season,” said Car Collection team principal Peter Schmidt.

“It will be Car Collection’s and Lionspeed’s first appearance with the brand new generation 992 GT3 R together with Porsche, a milestone in our path together.”

Car Collection will make its first Nordschleiefe appearance of the season in this weekend’s NLS race, where Kolb will participate as a solo driver.
