Herberth Motorsport has announced an assault on this year’s Nürburgring 24 with a Porsche 911 GT3 R, spearheaded by Dennis Olsen and Matt Campbell.
The long-time Porsche customer team will take on the German endurance classic for the first time, and will also be on track for this weekend’s N24 qualification race.
Campbell and Olsen will share the No. 5 Porsche with Nordschleife regular Vincent Kolb and Herberth owner-driver Robert Renauer.
It marks a return to Porsche machinery for Olsen alongside his duties as a Ford factory driver. Campbell, meanwhile, contested last year’s edition of the event in a Lionspeed by Car Collection Porsche but retired from the race after an early incident.
Kolb has spent the past three seasons campaigning Audi machinery on the Nordschleife with Scherer Sport PHX, while Renauer, who drives for Herberth in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, returns to the N24 for the first time since 2020.
Herberth also unveiled a retro-inspired livery for its N24 debut featuring the white and red colors of FATurbo Express, made famous by the 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning Dauer Porsche 962 LM of 1994.
