Driving Force Events Ltd. has announced a date change for the inaugural Istanbul 12 Hours, which will now take place on Oct. 18.
The event, to be held at the Intercity Istanbul Park circuit, was originally scheduled for Aug. 9, but has been changed after a survey conducted between teams, drivers and the public.
Official registration for the event, which will feature a mix of GT, sports prototype and touring cars, opens next week.
It run to the same format as the successful Gulf 12 Hours event in Abu Dhabi, with the race divided into two six-hour segments.
