Colin Braun led the way in qualifying for the 25 Hours of Thunderhill, helping Ryno Racing Team to score a sweep of the front row with its pair of Ginetta G57s.

The best lap time of the session came from Braun in the No. 57 car, with a 1:36.544, over 1.1 seconds ahead of the sister car driven by Colton Herta.

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship ace will share driving duties with Bryan and Colton Herta, Parker Chase and Ryan Carpenter.

“It was a great lap,” Braun said. “It is all about getting a clear lap and making good decisions in traffic.

“We have a tough race coming up so I didn’t want to make a mistake. It is always a challenge here to make the right choices in traffic.

“The car has been very strong all week. I feel really good about the race.”

Meanwhile, One Motorsports qualified third with its Radical SR3.

Flying Lizard Motorsports will start the race from seventh overall, and from the front of the GT field, thanks to a qualifying time of 1:42.969 from Darren Law.

Brian Lock scored E0 class pole with his Nissan 370Z, while Greg Liefooghe and Art Racing topped the E1 category.

Joel Miller and Tim Auger went fastest in E2 and E3 respectively, while Jeremy Croiset was fastest for Diamond Level Motorsports in the ENP class.

A total of 62 cars are set to take the start on Saturday at 11 a.m. PT.
