Goodsmile Racing and Team Ukyo has committed to next year’s Suzuka 10 Hours alongside a full-season return to Super GT with a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo.

The fan-favorite Japanese team, which won the GT300 title on three occasions, will continue with an unchanged driver lineup of Nobuteru Taniguchi and Tatsuya Kataoka.

Toyota Gazoo Racing LMP1 ace Kamui Kobayashi joined Taniguchi and Kataoka for the last two editions of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli round.

The trio finished tenth overall in this year’s race as the top-placed Japanese team for the second consecutive year in the race.

Goodsmile is expected to again carry factory backing from Mercedes-AMG in the race, although the German manufacturer has yet to officially nominate its ‘Performance’ teams for the IGTC season, which kicks off at the Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour in February.
