Pirelli GT4 America competitors head into the home stretch of the championship this weekend at Road America, with 27 cars entered for Rounds 8 and 9 of the season.
Following a sweep of the weekend last time out at Virginia International Raceway, the No. 28 RS1 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport duo of John Capestro-Dubets and Eric Filgueiras took over the Silver class points lead over Random Vandals Racing’s Kevin Boehm and Kenton Koch.
Capestro-Dubets and Filgueiras now hold a 21-point advantage over the Random Vandals duo, with Auto Technic Racing’s Colin Garrett and Zac Anderson sitting third with 120 points.
ACI Motorsports’ Curt Swearingin and Kay van Berlo continue to lead the Pro-Am standings, having extended their advantage over BimmerWorld’s James Walker Jr. and Tyler McQuarrie following a class win and runner-0up finish in Virginia.
The Am class sees Random Vandals’ Paul Sparta and Kris Wilson still on top, despite second-placed Robb Holland and Jaden Lander’s first class victory in Race 2 at VIR.
Sparta and Wilson have a 63-point advantage over the Rotek Racing Porsche duo.
Among the notable changes to the entry list since last month’s round include Elivan Goulart replacing Eric Powell in the No. 22 TechSport Nissan Z GT4 NISMO and Matt Million back in the No. 53 AutoTechnic BMW M4 GT4 alongside Tyler Stone.
Of note, the Silver class-contending No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO of Parker Thompson and Daniel Hanley is not currently on the entry list.
Track activity kicks off on Thursday with a pair of test sessions, followed by practice on Friday, qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday and Race 2 on Sunday.
Both one-hour races will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel and on Twitch.
