Nolasport will start from pole position in the two Pirelli GT4 America SpintX races at Circuit of the Americas this weekend.

Matt Travis set the fastest lap in the opening 15-minute qualifying session to put Nolasport’s No. 47 Porsche 718 Cayman Clubsport on top for race one later today, while his co-driver Jason Hart went quickest in the second session for Sunday’s contest.

Travis’ time of 2:30.753 in damp and misty conditions was 1.658 seconds quicker than the second-best lap from Jarett Andretti in the Andretti Autosport McLaren 570S GT4.

GT4 West series competitor Kevin Woods looked set to have a place on the front row of the grid but his number in the TRG-run Porsche Cayman was eclipsed by Andretti at the end of the session.

Pole for race one in GT4 East went to Matthew Fassnacht who qualified fourth overall in the No. 34 Murillo Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4, while the No. 91 Rearden Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 ran fifth.

In the second qualifying group, Hart eclipsed the long-held session best set by Nolasport teammate John Capestro-Dupets to complete the double for the No. 47 crew.

Hart posted a time of 2:29.592 – the quickest across the two brackets – to go 0.186 seconds ahead to decide the order of NOLASPORT’s front-row lockout.

Porsche 718 Caymans will occupy the top two rows of the grid on Sunday, with Robby Foley lapping third in the Flying Lizard machine and Trent Hindman running fourth for Park Place Motorsports.

Hindman ended up being the fastest GT4 East competitor, while Owen Trinkler headed up the GT4 West field in the Rearden Racing Audi which completed the overall top five.

Race one takes place at 1:05 p.m. local time (2:05 p.m EST) with live streaming available on the Blancpain GT World Challenge America website.
