The results from the second qualifying session for Pirelli GT4 America at Road America have been abandoned by officials, handing the top spot to the No. 999 Hanley Motorsports Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO, which set the quickest time in Practice 2.

Race control deemed that not all cars in Q2 had the opportunity to “equally set a time” which has resulted in utilizing the best times from Practice 2 instead to set the grid for Sunday’s 60-minute race.

Saturday morning’s Q2 saw a red flag for the No. 22 TechSport Racing Nissan Z GT4 of Eric Powell, who made contact with the wall in Turn 8 early into the 15-minute session.

Track action resumed with just over four minutes to go, which provided one flying lap for each of the competitors.

Michai Stephens was initially declared the pole-sitter for Race 2 but will now provisionally start 32nd on the grid.

Race 2 gets underway Sunday at 10:55 a.m. CDT, with live coverage on SRO’s GT World YouTube page.
