SRO Motorsports Group has made overnight Balance of Performance adjustments to three GT4 cars ahead of today’s Pirelli GT4 America races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Issued in a BoP update early Saturday morning, the Ford Mustang GT4 has been given a 10 kg weight break, with 5 kg weight reductions to both the McLaren 570S GT4 and Panoz Avezzano GT4.

The McLaren, meanwhile, has also been given a 5 mm lower front ride height adjustment.

The No. 50 Panoz of Ian James won Saturday’s opening GT4 America Sprint round, in a race that saw Michael Cooper recover more than ten seconds after a miscue entering the infield on Lap 2 while running second at the time.

Both title contenders Cooper and the No. 66 TRG Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport of Spencer Pumpelly sustained tire punctures on the second-to-final lap.

It’s understood TRG team owner Kevin Buckler vented his frustration at SRO officials post-race due to the overnight BoP changes, which he told Sportscar365 was unwarranted based on qualifying results.
