Thompson Quickest in NOLA Practice 1

Parker Thompson laid down the quickest lap in the opening practice session for Pirelli GT4 America competitors at NOLA Motorsports Park.

The Hanley Motorsports driver jumped to the top of the time sheets with a 1:43.228 in the No. 999 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO he shares with Daniel Hanley.

The Silver class entry was 0.447 seconds clear of the No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of Kay van Berlo, which led Pro-Am.

The No. 51 Auto Technic Racing BMW M4 GT4 of John Castro Dubets, meanwhile, was third quickest overall, with the No. 24 The Heart of Racing and No. 8 Flying Lizard Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage GT4s completing the top-five overall.

The 45-minute session saw a brief red flag for an unknown reason although track action quickly resumed.

A second and final practice session is on tap for 4:30 p.m. CT.
