NTT IndyCar Series driver Conor Daly will join Random Vandals Racing’s lineup for the Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS.

The 29-year-old Indianapolis native is set to share the wheel of the team’s BMW M4 GT4 with Pirelli GT4 America co-drivers Paul Sparta and Al Carter.

Daly becomes the second Indianapolis 500 starter to be confirmed for the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli round following news of Pippa Mann’s drive with Nolasport, also in GT4.

“Now that the IndyCar season is over, it will be great to get back in a sports car in couple of weeks at the IMS road course, which I love,” Daly said.

“The Indianapolis 8 Hour was a really great event last year, so I am happy to be back in the Random Vandals BMW for a really cool hometown event that seems to have a lot of momentum.”

Daly’s team principal and co-driver Sparta added: “We are thrilled to have Conor back in the car with us. Al Carter, Conor, and I have had success in the past in club endurance races, so it’s a great combination to bring back at this level to run what is becoming a very prestigious event.

“Similarly, any chance you get to take a green flag at IMS is just an honor. I am thrilled for my first run here.”

GT4 entries are not eligible to score points counting towards this year’s IGTC, which is reserved for GT3 manufacturers and drivers.

However, more than a dozen GT4 America teams have submitted entries for the race.

The full entry list, which is expected to feature more than 40 overall entries, will be released next week.
