Orange 1 FFF Racing Team has signed Super GT front-runner Bertrand Baguette to its Pro-Am driver lineup for the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa next month.

Honda regular Baguette will join Phil Keen and Hiroshi Hamaguchi in the No. 19 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 Evo for round three of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

Keen and Hamaguchi raced as a pair in the first two rounds of the season at Monza and Paul Ricard, but will be joined by two other drivers for the longest race of the year.

Their final Bronze-rated teammate for Spa has yet to be announced.

Baguette finished sixth with the factory Honda Team Motul squad at Spa in 2019, as part of the Japanese manufacturer’s Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli commitment which ended after the 2020 campaign.

The Belgian driver currently represents Real Racing in Super GT’s top GT500 category and won the second round of the season at Fuji with his co-driver Koudai Tsukakoshi.

Baguette has driven Ferrari, Aston Martin, Audi and Honda machinery in previous 24 Hours of Spa editions, but has never contested the race in a Lamborghini.

His last Lamborghini racing experience dates back to 2017 when he drove an Attempto Racing Huracan GT3 in the Silverstone and Paul Ricard Endurance Cup rounds.

“I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Bertrand in our team,” said FFF team principal Andrea Caldarelli, who also drives for the Italy-based, Chinese-backed outfit in Pro.

“He’s a driver I had the privilege to race against during my days in Japan, and I could appreciate his skills from very close. Since then, we have built a solid friendship and now we have the opportunity to work together.

“Moreover, Spa-Francorchamps represents Bertrand’s home track and he has great familiarity with this specific event, the 24 Hours.

“I’m sure he’ll play a key role in the line-up, supporting Hiroshi and Phil at the wheel of the No. 19 Lamborghini.”

Baguette is with FFF Racing Team for the two-day official 24H Spa test this week.
